General info and some advice...

What to bring

Well-worn hiking shoes, clothes appropriate for hiking, insect repellent, sleeping bag, inflatable pillow (if needed) and a personal bottle for water. Canned foods or drinks are not recommended. You must be in average to good physical condition.







How to get here

From San Jose drive directly to Santa Maria de Brunca (a digital route will be provided). You will be met by a person who will show you where to park the car, then lead you on a 4 ½ km (2.8 miles) hike to the reserve. If necessary, a horse will be provided for your luggage.















Reading, meditating, gardening, cooking, hiking, resting, bird watching, volunteering, nature photography, detoxing.

General Policies and Deposit

1. It is mandatory for each visitor to participate in the medical interview which will be sent to you by the administrative department. This is primarily to check on allergies and any health conditions that potentially could create a challenge.

2. Any substance declared as illegal by the Costa Rica government is prohibited on the reserve.

3. A non-refundable administrative deposit of 20% of the total cost is required with your reservation.
